Adam Larson CFA®
Why did you choose to be part of the BDF team?
I came to BDF because of the culture. I wanted to be part of an organization that takes care of its people and always does what is best for clients. One of the core values that BDF lives by is to “always do the right thing.” That is really important to me.
What is the one thing you wish every person knew when making financial decisions?
A lot of people come to a financial advisor not really understanding exactly what they need help with. Many think the priority is all about getting the best investment return. Instead, most people really need help gaining peace of mind and confidence. That is what is going to make the difference for them to be able to make decisions that allow them to live a full life.
What do your clients appreciate most about you?
I think our clients appreciate my ability to keep the big picture in mind. With finances, there are so many details that you can get lost in. What I hope to do is be able to bring people back to truly focus on what matters most and how this all ties together.
Where can we find you when you’re not working?
When I am not working, you will probably find me at my son’s soccer game or my daughter’s swim meet or band concert. I also enjoy running, hiking, and being outdoors.
What does “Helping people enjoy a full life” mean to you?
To me, it means providing people with confidence and peace of mind so they can do the things that are most important to them whether that means traveling and donating to charity or simply helping grandchildren or remodeling a kitchen. The meaning of a “full life” is different for everyone, so working with clients to understand and define that is so important.
What defines your own personal “full life”?
The “full life” for me right now is being able to enjoy time with my family. Being a dad is really important to me, and my wife and I really enjoy being there for our kids as they grow up.
