Armond Dinverno, JD, CPA, CFP®
“At BDF, we build relationships with each client individually based on a foundation of trust and confidence. It is in our DNA to always have the client’s best interest at heart.”
Passionate service is something the President and Co-Founder of Balasa Dinverno Foltz LLC learned growing up in his family’s restaurant business. Armond remembers his father keeping the restaurant open past closing for one customer because he wanted a customer for life.
Since co-founding the firm in 1986, Armond has created a culture that focuses on the people that work at BDF, the clients we serve, comprehensive financial planning, a long-term investment strategy, and attracting clients who value this full life perspective. “Our real value comes when we can focus our client on how we can help them enjoy a full life when they will get there, and not let the day to day changes in the global economy derail them from achieving their goals. We must make a difference in our client’s lives every day by the work we do and the relationship we have with them.”
As a leader of BDF and steward of its culture, Armond believes that in the competitive landscape for talent it is critical to put each team member in the position to be at their best loving what they do every day. Attracting and retaining top talent is the #1 priority at BDF. In 2018, BDF won the Best Places to Work Award sponsored by Investment News for the independent wealth management industry. This award was voted on by the BDF team members. BDF is immensely proud of the work done by its team.
Numerous organizations have recognized Armond as one of the top-rated wealth managers in Chicago and the nation, including Chicago magazine, Robb Report, Worth magazine, Mutual Funds magazine, and Medical Economics.
His passion for building a successful wealth management firm has led to articles and interviews with The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Chicago Tribune, Mutual Funds Magazine, Financial Planning Magazine and The Business Ledger. Over the years, BDF has won many awards as a best managed firm in industry studies done by Investment News and Moss Adams.
Recognizing his success as a business owner, the University of Illinois at Chicago inducted Armond into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame, and VISTAGE presented him with the Emerging Entrepreneur Member Achievement Recognition. Armond gives back to the community in part through his continued support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Illinois, and previously through his six-year term on their Board of Directors. Armond also spent 15 years coaching hundreds of children in soccer.
An active member of the CPA, legal and financial planning professions, Armond is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, Illinois CPA Society, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Institute of Certified Financial Planners. He earned his BS degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctor degree from John Marshall Law School.
