Josh Larson CFP®
What inspired you to choose wealth management as a career?
Wealth management provides the opportunity to get to know people on a personal level and understand how they envision their future. The challenge I appreciate most in this role is working with a client to shape all the big and little pieces unique to their puzzle, to create the exact picture they had in mind.
Why did you choose to be part of the BDF team?
There was a consistent message throughout the interview process of BDF’s commitment to its people. From owners to new hires, the firm is dedicated to setting the standard of excellence not only in servicing clients, but in supporting team members to grow personally and professionally.
What skills or characteristics make you uniquely qualified for this work?
I was becoming a teacher and spending a lot of time coaching before turning my focus to finance. That experience carries into working with clients- guiding them through the complexities to a simple solution and empowering them to be confident in their decisions.
What is the one thing you wish every person knew when making financial decisions?
Everything is relative. A choice that proved successful for your neighbor may not make any sense for your family. The right answer always depends on your personal priorities, situation, and what you are hoping to achieve.
What does “Helping people enjoy a full life” mean to you?
It is about appreciating that most of life is more valuable than dollars and cents. To me, the phrase describes our approach to supporting the people we serve, using our experience and insight, to focus on what matters most to them.
