Why did you choose to be part of the BDF team?
It’s rare to find a firm that has the wide ranges of expertise that BDF provides and the opportunity to tap these resources at any time in order to deliver the best solution for the client. Whether it’s a business owner with a complex estate planning issue, an executive with concentrated stock and options, or a widow or divorcee who may need emotional and technical support, our team has an expert to consult.
What do you enjoy most about being a part of the BDF team?
Nothing at BDF is swept under the rug. The culture is foundationally built on honesty and genuine, passionate service for our clients.
What do you enjoy most about your role at BDF?
Meeting with clients and constructing tailored solutions for each client’s financial concerns. Many of the issues we help solve for clients are both financial and emotional – whether it be passing family values around money to the next generation or ensuring a spouse or kids have a trusted team to turn to if something were to happen to them.
Why did you choose to get involved on the Financial Planning Committee?
I chose to be a part of the financial planning committee to keep our firm on the cutting edge of planning for our clients. Financial Planning is a buzzword in our industry and varies greatly depending on the firm. While the foundation of BDF’s planning remains consistent – “Helping people make sound decisions to enjoy a full life,” our expertise and focus on changing outside variables like income tax code, estate tax law, and risk management solutions are what differentiates us. The FPC provides the challenge and opportunity of continued learning that leads to meaningful change in BDF’s on-going value-add for our clients.
Where can we find you when you’re not working?
Either on the golf course or renovating old houses. A lot of what attracted me to financial planning exists in these two aspects of my life. Attention to detail, patience, planning and hard work are essential to all three.
Neil Teubel has a passion for planning. Whether he’s drawing up blueprints for the renovation of his 100-plus-year-old house or for a client’s retirement, he enjoys researching and attending to every detail to bring that goal to life.
As Director of Financial Planning, Neil heads the firm’s Financial Planning Committee whose primary goal is to guarantee BDF provides a best in class, proactive, and comprehensive planning experience for clients. The committee ensures the BDF team has cutting-edge tools and the latest information covering the ever-changing financial planning landscape. “At the end of the day, we want to make sure we are delivering the best financial and life solutions for our clients and their families.”
