Nick Kerger CFP®

Wealth Manager

Why did you choose to be part of the BDF team?

BDF’s culture resonated with me the first time I stepped into their office. Everyone at the firm truly cares about team members and clients.  At BDF I have the ability to grow as a person and learn from some inspiring people.

What is the one thing you wish every person knew when making financial decisions?

It’s easy to be your own worst enemy. Our minds are often irrational when it comes to finances, and that can hinder people from making sound financial decisions.  I believe our biggest value add is helping clients step back and evaluate financial decisions without bias.

Where can we find you when you’re not working?

I enjoy staying active by playing sports, working out, and running half/full marathons. I also enjoy trying new restaurants around Chicago and traveling.

Who are your role models?

My parents are my role models. They have sacrificed and worked extremely hard in order to help me live a “full life”.  Their example motivates me to give our clients the confidence that they can succeed in living their definition of a “full life”, and I hope to do the same for my family someday.

What does “Helping people enjoy a full life” mean to you?

I define living a “full life” as having the ability to pursue your goals comfortably in life whether those goals are in your personal life or professional life. I want our clients to have the ability to focus on pursing their goals every day, free from financial stress.
