Sean Knoerzer CFP®

Wealth Manager

Why did you choose to be part of the BDF team?

Our team culture and core values: our firm is truly passionate about what we do and we deeply care for everyone’s career growth.

What do you enjoy most about your role at BDF?

The opportunity to work with great people. It’s exciting to learn new things every day and have a meaningful contribution in our clients’ lives.

What is the one thing you wish every person knew when making financial decisions?

The first step to successful investing is establishing your goals and mapping out your own plan. I think it’s critical for people to know that the decisions they make should be towards achieving those goals for the long-term.

What’s the most influential book you’ve read and why?

Getting Naked by Patrick Lencioni. It changed my perspective how to develop relationships and how to communicate with your clients and anyone in your life. It suggests taking an unconventional approach to establishing relationships and that embracing your own vulnerability creates a deep bond between yourself and others.

Who are your role models?

My mom, a teacher, raised us to be extremely hard workers. She emphasized the importance of helping others and choosing a career in something that we love to do. I’ve always admired and hope to emulate her ability to balance family and work.
