Stephanie Laude CFP®

Senior Advisor

Why did you join the BDF team?

The people.  During the interview process I was able to meet eight incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, and genuine people.  I had no doubt it would be the best place to learn and really grow in the financial industry.

Where can we find you when you’re not working?

When I’m not working I’m most likely on the golf course (in the summer months).  I played golf in college and am looking forward to exploring new courses in the Chicago area!  I also really enjoy cooking (minus the cleaning up part) and traveling.

What’s the most influential book you’ve read and why?

The most influential book I’ve read is Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi.  It’s a book that emphasizes the importance of building relationships and creating a personal and professional network.  The advice is invaluable.

What does “helping people enjoy a full life” mean to you?

It means doing anything and everything I can to help clients feel comfortable about their financial situation.  Having peace of mind over their finances will help them enjoy doing more of what they’re most passionate about.

What’s the one thing you wish every person knew when making financial decisions?

I wish people didn’t feel like they have to know everything.  Asking for help is more than okay, and expected.  The best part about BDF is the variety of specialization.  Everyone is able to lean on each other for advice.
